Hand Pieced Quilts: Grandmother’s Flower Garden
June 23 9-12
Hexagons, or Grandmother’s Flower Garden, are one of my favorite shapes to stitch! By themselves, hexies are endlessly interesting.
They can be divided into so many other shapes and make a myriad of designs. This patterns is made using half hexagons.
Using colored pencils and special graph paper, you can dream up what you want to stitch next.
Hand Pieced Quilts:Tumbling Blocks
July 28 9-12
Tumbling blocks are made up of 60 degree diamonds. They are very dimensional and the fabrics choices make the magic happen.
Here are stars waiting to be stitched together. This will be a Seven Sisters patch.
No materisls are required, though you can bring your own choice of fabrics, if you like. These are hand stitching classes.
Both workshops will be held at Greenville Center for Creative Arts.
